A man was knocked unconscious during a fracas at a Civic kebab shop in London Circuit at 2am on Sunday.
He was taken to hospital with head injuries.
Police believe many bystanders were in the area at the time of the assault and some may have filmed the fight between a group of people on mobile phones.
