A woman was taken to hospital after being assaulted when she returned to find multiple people, possibly juveniles, trashing her Gordon home on Saturday evening.

Police say the woman was allegedly assaulted by at least one of the intruders, before the group fled. She was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

In addition to the assault and property damage, police suspect items were also stolen from the home.

Time to hold parents responsible for their children’s behaviour, if indeed this was done by juveniles. We might also need to consider what engaging activities are available to school age children when parents are working.

What sort of world are we now living in where anyone, juvenile or not, thinks this is acceptable behaviour? If indeed it s juveniles, who did this, they need more than a slap over the wrist, which sadly probably won’t happen. Perhaps parents need to be made accountable for their children’s poor behaviour?

How can parents be held responsible? I got into trouble from DOCS for banning my daughter from watching TV for just one night, and while DOCs was in my home my daughter was heading off to school, I told her to straighten her collar, as one side was tucked in. I then got told off by DOCS for saying that to her, and I was nice about it too!.. So NO, parents are not the problem, but you can guess where the problem lays!

Congrats people. You vote in idiots, you don’t care about lack of discipline at home or at school, you let the education system stupefy your children, you let the police and legal system get soft….. And then you are surprised????
