
Canberra barrister Theresa Warwick is a new presidential member of the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT). Her seven-year appointment starts on April 1.
Ms Warwick brings extensive expertise in criminal law and a strong background in tribunal work to ACAT. She has been serving as an acting sessional presidential member of the tribunal since June 2024.
Her career spans various roles within the ACT legal system, including:
- Deputy-Chair of the Sentence Administration Board (since May 2023)
- Senior Member of ACAT (2020-24)
- Special Magistrate (2019-2020)
- Ordinary Member of ACAT (2017-20)
Her experience as an arbiter also extends to the sporting arena as a judge and referee for Boxing ACT, for which she served as its president from 2015 to 2020.
