A night of comedy named with a pun is aiming to help people living with multiple sclerosis.

Multiple Skit-osis will see a cavalcade of well-known Canberra theatre performers take the stage to raise awareness of MS while also supporting the fundraising efforts of 12-year-old, Rosie Welling, who is preparing to hike the Kokoda Track in support of the cause, all the more important because her mother, Tink, lives with the condition.

Tink is also going to Papua New Guinea to tackle about half of the hardest walks in the world.

Tink, Rosie says, has been to Kokoda before, but she suffered a big MS setback last year and is no longer able to attempt the whole walk, so Rosie asked if she could come too and they are both training really hard for the challenge ahead.

The event will open with Rosie, Kath and Kiz Welling, and Jill Young performing an original comedy written especially for the show by Kirsty Budding.

The night will involve skits, stand-up and musical theatre numbers, performed by an ever-expanding line-up that includes actors Steph Roberts, Arran McKenna, Alice Ferguson, David Cannell, Lara Pulciana and John Lombard.
