The streets of Braddon were alive to the sound of  music on Sunday as the seventh annual Braddon Busking Festival showcased local talent.

Performers set up across multiple locations throughout Braddon and the day-long event culminated at BentSpoke, where finalists returned to the stage and winners were announced.

Taking out top honours in the Open Category was Aria and The Echoes, led by Aria Wallace, who also claimed the People’s Choice Award. Wallace’s success builds on a strong run in 2025, where she won the People’s Choice Award at the Braddon Busking Festival and placed second in the People’s Choice category at the Cooma Regional Heat and Australian National Busking Championships.

In the Under 17 Category, Ruby Holden secured first place, continuing her own impressive trajectory after winning the same category at last year’s festival and going on to claim first place in the Secondary School division at the 2025 Australian National Busking Championships.

Other winners included Skyline Vultures (second place, Open Category), Lucius Nicholson (third place, Open Category) and Bowie Polsen (second place, Under 17).

All winners have now been invited to compete in the 2026 Australian National Busking Championships, offering them the chance to perform on a national stage alongside street musicians from across the country.
