Canberra man charged with child sex offences

A 42-year-old north Canberra man has been charged with multiple alleged child sexual abuse offences after police arrested him over allegations involving two children related to him.

Police said three people came forward in May, providing statements about alleged incidents involving two of those people.

Police began an investigation and arrested the 42-year-old at an ACT police station on Friday.

Police allege the man sexually assaulted the two children, who were related to him, multiple times between 2014 and 2016.

He has been charged with six counts of incest involving a child under 10 and four counts of aggravated acts of indecency involving a child under 10.
