A new, larger library will be built at Majura Primary School as part of a $20 million modernisation of the 60-year-old school.

Projex Building Group has been appointed to construct the library and refurbish the existing library space into a new administration area for staff.

The wider project includes classroom upgrades, improved heating and cooling and refurbished bathrooms.

A separate contractor will be appointed for future stages of the project.

The Majura Primary works form part of the ACT government’s $800 million program to build and upgrade public schools across Canberra.
