A 40-year-old man has been charged after allegedly strangling his former partner and threatening to kill her on Sunday.
Police allege the man confined the woman in a room, threatened to kill her and strangled her while refusing to let her leave.
The woman was eventually able to escape and call for help.
The man was arrested and has been charged with choking, suffocating or strangling another person, intentionally threatening to kill and forcible confinement.
