Two charged over separate family violence

Two people have been charged following separate alleged family violence incidents in Coombs and Higgins.

A 27-year-old Coombs man allegedly assaulted his partner several times between Saturday night and Sunday morning, causing minor injuries.

Police attended a Coombs home about 10pm on Sunday following reports of a disturbance and arrested the man. He has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and five counts of aggravated common assault.

In a separate incident, a 32-year-old Higgins woman allegedly assaulted a 12-year-old family member on August 5 and 6, causing minor injuries.

The woman was arrested on Sunday and charged with two counts of aggravated common assault.
