Page stabbing: woman faces court

A 29-year-old woman is facing court after allegedly stabbing her former partner during an altercation on Friday night and assaulting several police officers.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say emergency services responded to reports a man had been stabbed following an altercation in Page at around 10.30pm.

It alleged that during an argument with the man at the home she shared with him, she threatened to kill him, struck him in the face several times and damaged his property.

The man attempted to leave, but was stopped in the backyard by the woman, who then stabbed him in the arm and chest.

The woman was arrested and police also allege that while in custody, she slapped a protective service officer in the face and dragged her by the hair, striking her repeatedly. After other officers intervened, she struck them several times as well.

She has been charged with three counts of assaulting a frontline worker, and one count each of contravening a family violence order, assault, recklessly threatening to kill a person, damaging property and intentionally wounding.
