Police have charged a 26-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man after a series of alleged carjackings, robberies and petrol drive-offs across Canberra involving multiple stolen vehicles and a rideshare driver being forced from his car.

Police will allege a Mitsubishi Outlander stolen from Higgins on April 26 was later used in petrol drive-offs at service stations in Macquarie, Kingston and Charnwood.

The woman was allegedly involved in a shop theft in Tuggeranong on May 8, before she and another unknown woman approached members of the public in Gungahlin seeking a lift. A short time later, the women allegedly assaulted a woman and threatened her with a knife before stealing her Hyundai Tucson.

The Tucson was recovered in Duffy on May 9, and the Outlander was later located in Duffy on Monday.

On Tuesday, the woman and man allegedly took a rideshare service before stealing the Mitsubishi Outlander being used for the trip.

On Thursday, the pair again took a rideshare service, where they allegedly threatened the driver and forced him from his Toyota Camry before stealing the vehicle along with personal belongings left inside. The Camry was later located in Holder.

Following the search of a Duffy home on Friday, police arrested the woman and man.

The woman, who was subject to an outstanding warrant, has been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The man, who was on bail, has been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and joint commission aggravated robbery.

Investigations are ongoing and further charges are expected.
