Coppins Crossing Road will close for three days next month while crews install safety barriers on the new Molonglo River Bridge.
The road between Holborow Avenue and Hazel Hawke Avenue will be closed in both directions from 2am on Wednesday, August 12, until 6pm on Friday, August 14. The closure may be extended until Saturday, August 15, if required.
The work involves installing safety rails and throw-screen barriers on the northern side of the bridge above Coppins Crossing Road. Similar barriers were installed on the southern side in June.
Motorists will be diverted via William Hovell Drive, Parkes Way, Tuggeranong Parkway, Cotter Road and John Gorton Drive, depending on their direction of travel. The ACT Government is urging drivers to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
