A 16-year-old boy has been charged after he allegedly strangled his 15-year-old girlfriend on multiple occasions over the course of their relationship.
Police allege the boy strangled the girl on four occasions between June and July.
The alleged incidents were reported to police and, shortly after midnight on Sunday, officers arrested the boy at his home.
He has been charged with four counts of choking, suffocating or strangling another person and four counts of aggravated common assault. He will face the ACT Children’s Court on Monday.
