Powerful winds knock down trees

STRONG winds are knocking down trees and power lines across Canberra, according to the ACT Emergency Services Agency. 

Wind is also behind the haze and levels of dust particles continue to rise across the ACT. 

ACT Health is warning Canberrans to take precautions to minimise dust storm health impacts.

People who need assistance with fallen trees can call the ACT State Emergency Service on 132 500. In the event of a medical emergency call 000.
