LIZ Lea is working with the National Portrait Gallery on a free event for International Day of People with Disability – Australia, with dance and music from the Chamaeleon Collective, Canberra’s first inclusive dance company, as well as ZEST – Dance for Parkinson’s, The Deaf Butterflies Group – DeafACT, Subsdance Dance Studio and The Stellar Company. They’ll also join the Heidi Latsky Dance’s global social justice initiative performed all over the world in honour of the UN’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities. COMPOSER Sally Greenaway’s final release for 2021 is called “The Strawberry Thief”, for which there is a live stream digital concert on Friday. She is also celebrating the launch of a special edition CD/DVD boxset, paired with Australian hand-made chocolate matching the music from Enigma Fine Chocolates in Braddon. THE AIATSIS Indigenous Art Market has grown to become the largest indigenous art market in the Canberra region and, since going online in 2020, now attracts buyers from throughout Australia and from abroad. Works will be added progressively over the duration of the event, which runs until Sunday (December 5). Accessible here
