THE ACT almost doubled yesterday’s record number of new covid cases today (December 31), ACT Health figures reveal. But hospital numbers remained steady at six with no-one in intensive care.
New cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday reached 462.
There are now 1658 active cases in Canberra and 3886 since this outbreak began on August 12.
There were 4211 negative test results received in the 24 hours to 9am today.
