Active covid cases in southern NSW fall

THE Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has reported 3218 active cases of COVID-19 throughout the district today (January 25), down from the 3532 reported yesterday.

Today’s figures confirm 315 new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday, 152 of which were detected by PCR tests and 163 detected by Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs).

There were 92 new cases reported in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region.

Throughout southern NSW there are 23 people hospitalised with the virus and only one in intensive care.

Elsewhere in the district there are:

  • 14 new cases in the Bega Valley
  • 7 in Eurobodalla
  • 17 in Goulburn Mulwaree
  • 9 in the Snowy Monaro
  • 6 in the Upper Lachlan
  • 7 in the Yass Valley
