Perform Australia talent on show

HAPPY birthday to Perform Australia, celebrating its 13th birthday with a gala concert in the Whyalla Street, Fyshwick, studios featuring songs, dances, monologues and scenes from students past and present. Fifty per cent of ticket sales will go to Marymead. It’s on Saturday, May 14. Book here

ADELE Cameron and Michele England are exhibiting work under the title, “A Floral Liaison” at CCAS, Manuka, Thursday until Sunday, May 15. England is showing some paintings made as part of her masters of philosophy while Cameron has photographed  floral displays and dyed fabrics with flowers.

STRATHNAIRN Arts Presents  “Space Between”, an exhibition that exposes different ways of thinking and making through the use of similar materials by celebrated artists David Jensz and Wendy Teakel. At Woolshed Gallery, Holt, until June 5.

“ROAR” is an interactive, experimental and provocative dance and physical theatre piece in which Miriam, Marlene, TJ and Zsa explore ideas of pleasure and power though different genres of the body. At Wanderlust Gentleman’s Club, Mitchell, Friday, May 13. Book here

THE sensational taiko drumming group Taikoz will be at Belconnen Arts Centre with its latest production, “Side By Side”, May 13 and 14. Book here

“T[EACH]” is a new show that acknowledges the diversity of practice of local high school visual arts teachers  Sueanne Matthews and Bradley Santos through a range of material practices – drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. At Rusten House Art Centre, Queanbeyan, until May 8.
