Teen arrested over Apple Store robbery

A 16-year-old has been arrested following a break-in to the Canberra Centre about 4am yesterday (January 19) when nearly $60,000 worth of electronic devices were stolen from the Apple Store.

Security staff were alerted to the burglary by an alarm and attended as  two males were fleeing with the devices. The offenders dropped a bag of stolen Apple products.

Police identified one of the alleged offenders from the centre’s CCTV and he was arrested on Wednesday evening.

The teenager is facing two counts of aggravated burglary, theft and damage to property.
