Lost, elderly woman identified, say police

UPDATE: TUESDAY, 12.15pm: Police report the elderly woman wandering the ANU campus this morning has been identified. 

POLICE want community help to identify an elderly woman found early on Tuesday walking at the ANU campus.

At about 3.20am police were called to the campus by ANU security after they located the woman walking alone.

She has not been able to provide her name or address and had no phone or identification on her. The woman was taken to hospital for observation.

She is described as being in her 80s, Caucasian, about 158cm (5’2”), with short grey/white hair and a slim build. She was wearing red/maroon glasses and a knitted cardigan at the time she was found.

Anyone who can help identify the woman should call 131444.
