Missing young boys ‘safe and well’, say police

UPDATE: Thursday 5.30pm: Police report that the boys reported missing from Monash on Thursday morning have been found “safe and well”.

POLICE are seeking help to find missing 8 and 10-year-old boys, Edward Smith and Reuben Gilbey-Nwosu.

The boys have not been seen or heard from since 9.45am on Thursday, and were last seen in Monash.

Edward (Eddie) is described as being of caucasian appearance, about 120cm (3’9”) tall, with brown hair, brown eyes, and of small build (for his age).

Reuben is described as being of Pacific Islander in appearance, about 140cm (4’5”) tall, with black hair, brown eyes and of medium build (for his age).

They are believed to be wearing shorts and t-shirts and are familiar with local Canberra shopping centres.

Serious concerns are held for both boy’s welfare.

Anyone with any information that could assist is urged to call 131 444.
