Theodore man faces 15 sexual offences

A 39-year-old Theodore man is facing the ACT Magistrates Court charged with 15 sexual offences.

Earlier this week, police received information that since 2017, the man had allegedly been sexually abusing a young girl known to him.

The man was arrested in residence in Theodore on Friday night.

He has been changed with nine counts of performing an act of indecency on a person under 16 years of age, five counts of incest (over 10 years of age, under 16 years of age), and a single count of performing an act of indecency without consent.

There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences in the ACT.
